Festool grants a warranty period of 1 year from the date of purchase, in case of appropriate operation. Now the warranty is extended by 2 years to a total of 3 years, if you return the completed warranty card plus a copy of the sales slip within 30 days after the date of purchase. (This does not apply to wear- and tear-parts).

Administrative and technical procedure An ID-lable with the machine data is glued on the warranty card. Machines with warranty card are marked by means of a 1+2 warranty logo on the package. You must fill in the 1+2 warranty form and send it back to Festool South Africa or you can register your warranty on line right here. After registration you will receive the 1+2 warranty confirmation, by means of which you can prove your extended warranty claim in case of repair. All our customers receive our tools with a 12 month manufacturer guarantee. This warranty is independent from any other agreements. All defects resulting from faults in material or fabrication will be fixed free of charge during the warranty period. We also take into charge the cost of transport either way. In order to claim your warranty without requests and delays, please pay respect to the following: Please include a copy of the purchase receipt to provide information about the date of purchase to your customer service station. Excluded from the coverage under this warranty are: normal wear and tear; damages caused by misuse, abuse or neglect; damage caused by anything other than defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not apply to accessory items such as circular saw blades, drill bits, router bits, jigsaw blades, sanding belts and grinding wheels. Also excluded are 'wearing parts' such as carbon brushes, lamellas of air tools, rubber collars and seals, sanding discs and pads and batteries.  Naturally, all parts that are exchanged when servicing devices are guaranteed for 6 months.
